W game, i love it. ty eroraen

(+3)

Hi! Thank you for your game, it was a great story. The ending is exactly was wanted. Don't actually like the continuation of the story - Reiko... But that's another story. In overall the story, world, characters just awesome. Thanks once again, I'll leave a tip for sure for each game. Would be just awesome to see continuation of the Koko storyline.

(+1)

good but needs a good ending for blue haired girl

Y E S

I thought so too

(+1)

You create art, I've only played 4 of your games and all of them... I've loved them every moment, really my friend you're incredible, every story, every character with their way of being, every story everything is beautiful, I really hope you keep making more games like this, I loved it, you really feel in the character and that's something unique, congratulations on your great work :D

(+1)

Thank you very much! I hope you like the rest of the games too if you decide to play them, and I hope to improve more with time!
(。^▽^)

(+1)

So wholesome! Genuinely heart-warming, I would highly recommend this !!

(+2)

Holy sh*t dude, this is awesome!

(+3)

A question for Eroraen,
Hi! I will start by saying I love all of your games! My favorite is Dear Rebeca. Recently, I have been inspired to make my own game. I am starting to make art and learn how to use Ren'Py. The game will be about monsters, and will be free to download.

I would like to ask you, is it okay if I were to include Koko as an "easter egg" in the game? She will only appear shortly and I will make the art myself. I will also give you credit for the character.

If not, I will make a different character instead.  Thanks.

(+2)

Hello! I'm glad you liked my games so much.
You are welcome to use Koko or any of my characters as an easter egg. And if you give me credits, it's always appreciated, of course.
Also, if I can help you in any way, just let me know. I'm looking forward to seeing your work!  (^▽^)

Me encantó! Suspenso, romance, devoción... Buenísima historia

Gre
Great game. Loved every minute playing it. The multiple endings shocked the hell out of me. 10/10

=)
(+2)

also i found the music in this game quite good! If there is replayable OST that would be great as i remember someone told the thematic music is like a siren in the start and later on as trust become closer the song became more comforting and bittersweet (Manly yt comment). A really intricate detail uwu.

(+1)

Spoiler question

why did koko kill seiichi at the bad end?

*Spoilers*

"If he can't be mine, he can't be anyone's".  That's how it could best be summed up, using the logic of a stress-filled monster. :P

(+1)

ahhh ok thanks! i read many youtube comments that were confused about this topic :p

(+1)

also i would like to ask if there is a soundtrack from the game? I love music as it brings nostalgia to me when i hear melodies from reminiscent games

I got the music from a free music site.
The author's name is Kayvi, and the song is ASYLUM vol.1.

(+1)

Do all the visual novels, including this, belong to one universe? Is there any more information on the girl who kills Seiichi in the trust-neither end?

Koko/Reiko/Void of Desire and the upcoming visual novel belong to the same world.
And if you mean the little girl who appears in one of the bad endings, I'm afraid not, there is no more information on that character.

(+2)

Looking forward for the new visual novel! Will it be from perspective from any known character, by the way? And for Void of Desire, I do see the story of Koko meeting Seiichi in the epilogue, but is there any information on her mom?

(+1)

The new visual novel will feature new characters. Although there may be references to previous ones, it is too early to say for sure (and not to make spoilers).
About Koko's mother, I think there was a line of dialogue from Lilieth talking about her. But I can't tell you from memory exactly where.

(1 edit) (+1)

There's something I keep thinking about. At the end when Koko leads Seiichi to the human part of the city, he accidentally bumps into the girl named Lune. Then Koko says that girl looks familiar. In Reiko if you ask Koko about her mother, she tells you her mother's eyes were brighter and more yellow. That matches the Lune's eyes. So there is a possibility that Lune is Koko's mother. Could it be?

(+4)

I'm afraid not, Lune is just a small reference to the protagonist of the first visual novel I did. There's a bit more about Koko's mother in Void of Desire if you're curious.
But good theory from your side!
(。^▽^)

(+1)

Really loved the game, it felt a lot more linear than ‘Void of Desire’, but I really love the relationship between Koko and Seiichi. Also the game really shows you that the demi-humans have a whole society, and really makes sense when looking back on ‘Void of Desire’ why you would naturally be scared of Demi Humans when some of them seem like complete predators. Sort of like spiders, where they react to what comes close to them.

The game really hits differently after seeing the Epilogue of ‘Void of Desire’ and knowing of the sequel to ‘Koko', you just know to trust her from the get go. I also really did not want to hurt her, especially when it seems all Koko has is affection for Seiichi and there is nothing malicious there.

Looking forward to playing the sequel next.

(+1)

i played through both koko and reiko can only recommend both titles

(+1)

creepy... classy...

(+2)

Great work!
(+1)

Thank you very much for your words and the video! :)

(+2)

i would like to ask a maybe spoiler question: how are the "Monsters" even allowed to live in human cities?  it would seem they, despite some adaption of human values ( wearing clothes?, living in houses with stuff) at their very base, behave truly like monsters.  it was mentioned in the game but with the extent of it showed in the game, it seems there was no real effort to change or be changed. i'm sorry if this was a lot and i completely understand if you don't want to answer. just thought about this for a bit.

(+1)

Spoilers and a bit of text:

There are many kinds of monsters. That's why Seiichi also asks this question to Koko or Miroku. Since some are more similar to humans in terms of reasoning, thinking, and so on. But others, on the other hand, are more wild or unstable, like the mantis, for example. Perhaps they do not have the same notion of good and evil, or even decide to abandon the idea of integrating into human civilization.

In Koko's case, she is more stable and human-like, so she can wear clothes and be practically like a normal person. But another monster of a different nature and form, perhaps even if it tries, may eventually succumb to its instinct and never be able to integrate 100%. That is why there are areas in the cities where they live more separated and in a more controlled way.

The monsters that are totally friendly and functional, live directly with humans despite the occasional instinctive rejection of some people (just as many monsters repudiate them). Those that don't, descend into the interior of such non-human zones. As I believe is also mentioned, the authorities may offer criminals as food, or directly, to fight each other without disturbing the humans on the other side.

In my last visual novel I mention a bit about that at the beginning as well. However, these are aspects that I haven't fully concretized or gone into too much depth yet. But maybe I will do it in the next one, because at the moment, I'm making the first sketches about a possible sequel.

If there is curiosity about that, I could try to explain more about the world or give more background/stories and that sort of thing. In a future visual novel or something.

Thanks for your comment and curiosity!

(+1)

I personally i would love to know any knowledge about the world in however way you decide.  i think the world you have built here and and in your other visual novels are much worthy of thought and reflection and are just awesome visual novels. though what you have said here makes me think of how much of a forced relationship between humans and monsters (if) it is or how much does one side have or don't against the other. thank you for making this truly, even if it does make feel a bit discomfited, ( perhaps the intention? not a problem in any case) thank you.

(+4)

It is a little late but, I have tried to correct and revise the text of the English translation. So, I hope that most of the errors of the first version are now fixed.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

(+2)

So overall, good job but i found few mistakes.

- addressing koko as he.

- some of the dialogues are played twice for no reason (for example when we enter the bedroom for the first time).

- misues of some words (for example "tell" instead of "call") but you are still able to tell what is the point/meaning of dialogue, as long as you speak English at an "communicative" level.

- few problems with assets but its pretty common so not a big deal overall.

- a lot of mistakes like Kok instead of Koko.

- a lot of translation errors.

Now, my personal experience with the game.

It was pretty fun tbh but im not a big fan of art style. The endings were okay, "good ending" was good but rest not anymore. Miroku ending was okay but way to short. And the "bad" ending... eee idk, i mean it makes that we die but it was just a little to fast for me. Of course it's just my opinion so if you disagree then... well... good for you i guess. Story... i think i like it but you could add some more depth into it.

so...

Art: 6,5/10

Story: 7/10

Playability: 7/10 (i didn't find any huge bugs but translation errors were pretty annoying)

Characters: 6/10

Would i like to see part 2? Sure why not, it might be really good.

(+4)

Thanks for your review!

As I have mentioned in other comments, this was one of the first times I made a visual novel. It was all unknown to me in terms of art and programming.

So, since I didn't think it would be very relevant either, I finished it quickly so I could apply what I learned in other projects. (Which is why there isn't much depth or there are such abrupt endings.)

It wasn't even going to have a translation, but I decided to try to do it fast. So, I apologize for all those translation errors.

I'll pay more attention to future translations (and fix mistakes with updates), learn how to do things better, like endings or giving time for story/character development, etc. If there was a second part of Koko, I will try to improve the mistakes I made in the first part.

Thanks for your feedback!

(+2)

I hope there will be a part 2 dude. I finished the game like 1 week ago

(+1)

Lol, I finished it 3 weeks ago, hope so too.

(3 edits) (+3)

Just want to thank you for this VN. Short yet intriguing, emotional and good. Especially liked artstyle of characters gloomy and grotesque, but still "cute". Shame that Miroku true intentions are not revealed, but game not about her after all.

Btw after completing  this game, I remember one h manga dirty me  with similar plot, took inspiration or just coincidence?))

(+3)

Thank you! I hope to do better in the future, and if Miroku shows up again, give her more importance.

To be honest, when I did Koko's story, it was unscripted. Every day I tried to draw something and write the story almost on the fly. Although I was inspired by the cover of a music album that I love to make Koko, or the trypophobia to make Miroku, etc. :P

(+2)

Hmm, what do you mean under "shows up again"? (thinking face)

(+1)

🤐 Who knows. But in the next vn, maybe someone will be mentioned at least. Koko or Miroku.

(+2)

Cant wait mate, keep it up!

(+2)

Hello Miroku-fan fella! :D

(3 edits) (+1)

I Found manga I wrote about is "Niji no Ori" (251608) if anyone is interested

the soundtrack is super relaxing, where can i find it?

The author is Kayvi.

Here you have his official channel (if I'm not mistaken):

Ah, I see you looped the first clip.

I gotta say, I've played a variety of visual novels. And while this was a little rough around the edges, it welled up an emotion from me that I have not felt from any other visual novel. The music choice, storyline, the small but sweet setting, the characters, all of it creates this atmosphere that is so relaxing and pure.

When I first downloaded the game I didn't expect much from an itch.io game, but needless to say I will never be thinking that again.

As for the rougher translations, while they do not take away from the story, they are missed opportunities to fully express the emotions and ideas you want to convey. I understand that there are translators who require payment, but there just as many fans of yours that would be more than willing to test-play, translate, etc. for free. For a smaller creator like you who is not able to afford "official translators", please rely on us. I personally would love to. It would be a great chance to engage the community as well!

Other than that, it's overall a fantastic game, and I hope to witness more of your talent in the future.

Please keep up the good work :3

(P.S If there's a way to access the looped versions where would I find them in the games files?)

(1 edit) (+1)

Thank you! That encourages me a lot.

I take into account all the advice I have received since then, from the translation, to improving the endings, etc.

Regarding the music, I think that the files cannot be found in the game folder. I would recommend that you download them from the official page of the composer (here) (or here in direct link) and activate the option to play in loop from your music player.

But if for some reason you can't, tell me and I'll upload it myself to download it separately. ^^

(+2)

this game is so good underrated

(3 edits) (+1)

If Miroku successfully ran away with protag, what could have happened? Would Miroku just leave him alone after helping him, or would they start eventually dating each other?

(1 edit) (+1)

I installed the apk, but every time i open the app, i get a "downloading assets" screen, no matter how long i wait, the assets never seem to download

Also, Love this game, Really well made

(+1)

I haven't had any problems opening it, but I'll try exporting it again and uploading it anyway, just in case that solves the problem.

Sorry for the trouble!

(+2)

i love this game

(+2)

Cool game. I loved it, hoping to see more of your games in the future. :D

(+2)

This is the first visual novel Ive ever read. And I just wanna say its amazing. I love everything about it and its been stuck in my mind for the past week. I really hope there will be a sequel. Insanely good job 10/10!

(+1)

Thank you very much! It means a lot to me. :)

(+2)

Is there any chance of the game being posted as apk file or on other apps than google play on mobile, huawei users can't get it.

(+1)

I have uploaded the game in .apk format. Hope it works, if not, let me know so I can help you. ^^

(1 edit) (+2)

Umm some questions, will there like part 2? Or just more dialogues update after good ending? Im so corious if they will have a baby >:3

(+1)

Hope so! At least one sequel, to finish Koko's story and add more details. But I can't give much more details for now.

(+1)

Owh thanks to know, ill be waiting for next update, oh ya just some suggestion u can improve the art or makes it moving like animation, oh ya for da baby one, if that happen later on, u will use skipable dialogue text? Or u will add scene or dialogue while making it? (☞ ͡ ͡° ͜ ʖ ͡ ͡°)☞

It would be adult content but i would like to know, and anyway ill support chu! :3

(+2)

It's still too early to tell you anything for sure. After finishing my last vn, I've been working on some designs and trying to animate the characters. I'd like to give it a try, but maybe it consumes too many resources and ends up being worse than more traditional sprites. (Visual bugs, lag, etc). But I'll keep it in mind!

And you mean if I add "erotic" scenes? If that's what you mean, I don't think I'm going to add overly suggestive or explicit scenes for now. Unless it's necessary to emphasize a scene or part of the story, of course.

Thanks for your support!

(+1)

Thanks to know! :D

Ill be waiting for ur next update, keep it up! :3

(+2)

Dude,ur a genius making a game that every loner(including me) can play. I'm sure Ur gonna be well known

(1 edit) (+2)

Adding my review for the visual novel here, interesting that the reviews are not public by default on this website.

English review: Very nice art and ambience.
I like the general concept.
The alternate endings feel somewhat forced, or that we're missing a more detailed explanation of why the characters act the way they do; there are loose ends.
The characters are interesting, It'd be nice if they had more development.
The English version has some slight problems because the author seems to be learning the language still, but at no point it becomes so bad that you can't understand what it's trying to convey, it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the work.
Overall, highly recommended! I enjoyed this a lot. Due to the loose ends and interesting characters and concept, I would very much like a sequel! 4/5

(+2)

Thanks for your review!

I am quite aware of the errors after reading some more reviews, and I keep them in mind so that in a possible sequel, as well as in future projects, I can improve in all those aspects. (Character development, translation, longer and better endings, etc.)

I really appreciate your opinion and I hope to do better with time.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks!

(+1)

Ahem. Im sorry, but I have more questions to you and its about Miroku again. Will this character be more developed? And if its not a secret where, in Koko 2 or Koko?

(+1)

Don't worry, you can ask anything you want.

Right now I'm doing a different vn. After finishing it, I have 2 ideas that I would like to do. 1 of them is for Koko.

I see something complicated to do a remake. Because I would have to redo everything from the beginning, as well as add some more content and also extend the game as if it were a sequel, and maybe it would be too much work. (Besides that, it maybe would be repetitive for those who already played the original story too).

For now, I see better the option of a sequel. I already have a slight idea about the plot, and until I read your comment, I hadn't considered adding Miroku.

Initially, I was only going to focus on Koko and another very "special" character. But, after reading you, I will try to make her appear and have some development. Although as I say, nothing is certain yet. But I will definitely keep her in mind.

(5 edits) (+1)

Thanks a lot!

(+1)

Miroku is really impressive. I think no one could do a feelings confession under knowing that you will get killed for doing an obvious trick with mind control.

(+2)

I just played this and enjoyed it a lot!
Dont get me wrong i liked it a lot but the translation has some rough edges, would you like some help on that regard?
I dont know aaany spanish but im oke with my english and if you would like i would love to smooth some of the sentences. Like more localisation than translation basically? like how some sentences are grammatically and wordwise correct but people dont use irl? that kinda stuff!
And again dont get me wrong, awesome game, and im not some kind of translator etc. the only previous translation work i have is some how to documents and a h game but i dont ask for anything back other than a thank you and a warm hug so anyway yea let me know great game koko 2 when?

(+1)

I'm glad that you liked it.

And I apologize for the translation errors, as I mentioned before, next time I will try to pay more attention and care to it. Translating more slowly and letting someone who speaks English test it before posting, etc.

I still can't say when Koko 2 will exist, haha. For now, I'm working on a different vn, while I think of good ideas for that hypothetical sequel.

Thank you!

(+1)

no need to apologise! most were minor anyway, as i said if you cant find anyone to be that who speaks english to test part let me know! i would gladly help as a proofreader :)

(+2)

I need help the game downloaded into a different language and I need help putting it to English. Please help me.

(+2)

(+2)

Thank you so much!

(+4)

i found my account that i hadnt used in many years just to comment on this (i was actually going to create a new one but my email was already used--)

anyway- i wanted to say, this is amazing, the characters are interesting, the scenes are fun, the plot is interesting, and the mysterious air it has is just straight up amazing

i also love the drawing style, it doesnt looks professional, but that adds to the charm and makes it much more unique than if it had

there was also a few mistakes, like addressing koko as he a few times, or phrases that didnt make much sense in the translation, but it didnt happen very often and i'd say its not bad at all

its also a bit short, but short & good is better than long for the sake of it and bad, so while i wish it was longer i understand why it might be on the shorter side

my only real complaint is that, while i get thats not the focus, i wish we could see happy endings with other choices instead of bad ends

this is gonna get very spoilery so for anyone who is yet to finish watching/playing it, dont read my past here

!!SPOILERS:!!!

in regards to the bad endings, i wish you could see more outcomes of some of them, for instance the one where koko kills miroku - i'd love to know what koko does now that she did that, would she snap, would she stuff the protagonist body with something to make him not look dead? would she harm herself?

also as a small note in regards to that - i feel like the bad ending where she kills the neighbor would be better if it wasnt straight up evil, koko is meant to be someone you'll like right? and i did, but ever since that potential scene happens where she does that, the entire rest of the journey i was like 'well, she did kill someone apparently for no reason then murdered us, is that someone i can trust' - in that case i'd prefer if the neighbor had attacked her & thats why she ends up killing the gal, maybe then she stabs you by accident, be it cause reflex or whatever, that way she would be at best a anti hero instead of a villain - tho this is a small thing and it wouldnt be needed, just..the general advice is: be careful of how you make the characters look even in potential bad ends, cause it'll affect how people judge them in all other endings too

or for when you pick the 'neither' option & you end up killed by the girl on the streets, it'd add a lot if we saw koko or her neighbor reactions to it, what they might do, etc! than simply a 'end' and thats it

alternatively, i'd love to see some alternate good endings, like you actually being helped if you choose her neighbor instead of her being killed, based on things you told or didnt before, even if it was smaller i'd like to see more good possibilities, just being killed is way less fun, plus that way people would be able to discuss which ending they like the most, their fav characters based on that, and it'd give more reason to give more scenes with them - and hell, even going bad for longer could be fun, a end where youre tortured for half of your life would be more interesting, if we're going the bad ending route

and a small thing - in regards to you (author) comment about people being bored by too much dialogue:

while its possible that too much dialogue could make it boring, i'd imagine most people who would bother to play a VN to begin with wouldnt mind that much, and those that mind wouldnt mind playing, a famous example is doki doki, where in one of the scenes you can talk with a character, it has a lot of topics about a lot of things and people love it, hell, some even made a mod that expanded that scene to go on for hours and hours, people who like VN certainly wont be complaining about dialogue, its kinda the point, its like reading a book, as long as its interesting, it can go on and on and people will love it

that being said, if you ever worry about people getting too bored, drawing more scenes can always help, be a mysterious one, a bloody one, a cool one, or even outfit changes, different scenarios, etc! your art is pretty good & fun, and with such a monster-world outside, theres a lot of potential, and you could easily make it not boring, i watched a video that was over 1hour on this and loved every second, i doubt more hours would've made me unhappy

i also wish we got to see the true forms for the spider & koko, or maybe more scenes with their traits being used

That being said, i loved this game & everything in it, my suggestions are just for how it could be made even better / future advice, what you have here is beyond amazing, i will certainly be waiting for more

im also all in for a koko sequel! koko 2 must happen! or at least a koko 1 expansion, like how DDLC did, that way we could have extra built ontop of what is already great

And by the way - i saw that you mentioned wanting people to test if things worked out & proofread - i would certainly not mind doing so, i have a lot of free time and i have a good grasp of the english language - might have to give you a follow on twitter

anyway, overall it was a really good time & kept me entertained & was a lot of fun! and sorry for the huge comment, but i wanted to give my thoughts & tell how amazed i am, and since i saw how you usually read & reply, thought this would be a great opportunity to do so!

(+1)

Thank you very much for your review!

(I will answer as I read you again from the beginning).

The drawings certainly could not be professional, since in fact, I had never drawn anything like it "seriously". The only thing I did was the vn of Lune (in another software that I bought years ago and it gave me more headaches than joys)

I am aware of my limitations in this regard, and in fact, I had many more "creepy" and "romantic" scenes in my head, but since I am unable to capture them for now, I used to limit myself a bit at the story level. Since, if I am unable to represent something well, I must approach it in another way. To make up for this, I tried to work for a few weeks after finishing Lune to find a style that I liked to do, and thus the character of Koko was born. (Specifically, now I see the clothes I drew and I feel embarrassed lol).

As I said in other comments, and as a curious fact, initially the vn was not going to have an English translation. Since I made a mistake in the software (noob mistakes and not having a clue about programming), and I was unable to get the software to generate the translation lines for me. Luckily, and when I was finishing Dear Rebeca, with what I learned, I was able to solve it.

I usually dedicate 1 or 2 days exclusively to translating, with some rest for my eyes and mind. Then I check that everything fits in the context of the story, that there are no spelling errors, etc. And even so, I know that it will have many errors that escaped my sight, or perhaps because my level of English is not high enough to perceive that it is an error. So for that, I apologize! I will try to be more careful and try harder in that aspect as well. (My native language is Spanish).

What you mention about extending the consequences of "bad endings" a bit more, I love your idea! Although it seems obvious, it had not occurred to me until now, so I make a note of it.

Although, I like to see bad endings as a "what if" as well. But you're absolutely right. One thing I tried to do with the endings was to add a bit more variety, since leaving it as a simple duality in the "good or bad" ending also seemed monotonous to me. Next time I'll try to expand on those details, of course.

I'm really kind of silly to think "maybe it's boring to read too much" when we're talking about a visual novel, haha. Many times I would have liked to expand more in the dialogues, but as you say; to make it more dynamic the ideal would be to draw more scenes, it is something that in DR for example, I tried to improve. I should be more confident with that.

Finally, I never thought that my little vn would have such an impact on the rest. (I would be happy to know that 2 or 3 people played it, and they told me that it made them have a good time, that was my goal). That's why many times I've mentioned that Koko was more like my first experiment. A beginning, more than a search for perfection

Thanks to your comment, it has motivated me to continue striving to improve!

(+2)

I understand Spanish and English but since your main language is Spanish I’ll go from here with Spanish

(+1)

Just wanted to let you know that Windows Defender thinks your .exe installer is a virus. I will download the .zip instead.

I guess it's normal. Other people haven't had any problems, but I won't distribute again as an installer anyway. Thanks for letting me know!

I played this because of Manly

Good :

- A short but a fun one

- The horror and grotesqueness is just right. I don't really like Horror Anime VN's because some are unsettling for the wrong reasons or straight up gorefest ( the R18 ones are ugh ), Ironically I like Doki Doki, maybe because it's like just right.

- Koko is a great one

Bad :

- Some translation errors but that's nitpick

- Congrats, koko's nails just activated a little bit of my phobia XD ( Her nails are like daddy long legs )

Thanks for the feedback!

English is not my native language, so it is difficult for me to translate. But I'm trying to do everything in a more orderly and careful way to better check for translation errors in future visual novels. (I'm sorry!)📃

I can safely say this has become one of my all-time favorite visual novels, regardless of the proofreading mistakes and overall brevity.  Its executed very well and everything fits together almost flawlessly, and is overall a surprisingly wholesome experience for a horror visual novel. It's a 9/10 from me, some improvements can be made here and there (a bit of the writing in some of the ends could be added onto or changed a bit to match the character context a little more too), but as a whole, I'm candidly in love with it! Excellent work! Can't wait for more projects!

Also, though no worries at all if you aren't interested, if possible and fine with you, I'd like to help with the proofreading and English correction for this game or any other projects (free of charge, of course), I'm a huge fan of all the work you put into these games and am absolutely up for helping polish all more so the concluded experience is as orderly and even as possible. Let me know if you're interested and where I can contact you if you are, great work on everything once more!

Thank you very much for your comment! To be honest, I am aware that in terms of the story, there is much room for improvement. Since it was the first vn that I did programming and that stuff, I wanted it not to be too extensive, to try to apply what I learned in another project. (I also didn't think so many people would like it, haha).

As I said in another comment, I would have liked to add another character, as well as make the dialogue longer, but I was afraid that it would be boring. (And that my drawing skills are not very good to represent the things that I would like and have in my mind).

Many times I have thought about the need to try to find someone to help me, whether it is testing that everything works well, the art, etc. But I can't afford something like that.

The English translation is almost one of the last steps I do at the end of a vn, and I try to review it from start to finish, several times before publishing it. Now I will try to do everything in a more orderly and careful way to avoid so many mistakes. Maybe when I'm finishing my next work, I'll ask on my Twitter if someone would be willing to test it before I officially release it, in order to correct possible translation errors.

I don't want to bother anyone in vain either, so I'll try my best!

You're most welcome, it's too good a project to not comment on! Don't get me wrong (in case I sounded too critical), the fact it wasn't even meant to be an extensive, fully-fledged visual novel game with immense intricacies only makes this project infinitely more of an achievement with how much it was able to fit in such a short time.

I don't feel that would've been boring at all (depending on the execution, of course), but the game turned out really good as it is without additional content so it's nothing to stress or fret about. As for the art, there's always room for improvement and development, after all, you'll get to the level of expertise you desire as long as you put in the time and effort, you clearly already have the passion and necessary base of skill down since the art turned out great as well!

In case I didn't put too much clarification in my previous message, I'm willing to help, proofread the English, and playtest, all without any payment at all. Being able to contribute to any games or projects and test them before releasing them to the public and polish them more would be an honor even without any payment, it's already a payment in itself to be of help. Dividing the work would lessen workload and allow you to complete more goals and projects more efficiently and effectively too since many one-person teams end up overexerting themselves and forgetting they're only human and need rest too.

Don't get me wrong once more in case I was too critical in my previous comment, you've already done a great job on the translation and everything without any extra help, but I have a personal philosophy of "the more, the merrier" (as long as that "more" is of contribution and not destruction, evidenced by many large dev teams that end up disbanding because of dramas). Regardless of whether you are or aren't interested in my offer though, I wish you all the best with your projects and everything at all and I sense you'll be an even larger and immensely more prosperous maker one day, remember to always take care and never overwork yourself through these processes (too many forget to do so)! My offer's always up, and it wouldn't be in vain at all, getting to polish projects would be an honor! Thank you for all the work you put into this, I'm genuinely in love with the story, art and everything!

I thank you again for your words of encouragement and offer. You haven't been critical in a bad way, so I appreciate it!

I know that my work, specifically Koko, has many aspects that could be improved and I am aware of it. But I try to improve in every way. And it is true that many times it is too much work for me alone, luckily now that I have more practice I can speed up some things. I always read all the comments, even if I don't answer them, and I try to take note of the opinions or advice that you all give me.

And now that maybe someone is interested in my next visual novel, I could also ask some questions that maybe I couldn't before, to give me some confidence when it comes to capturing some things.

If I could, Koko would have lasted 2 or 3 times longer, with a lot more content. Or I would have revised the translation as well as added more details etc. But in addition to my lack of skill and practice, there is also the element of time.

I would not want someone to help me or "work" for me for free, because it would not seem fair. (Minimum, he/she would have my thanks in the credits). Although I do not deny that I would love the idea of having some internal feedback in the sense of being able to ask if this idea is good, or if this other one is better. If this design is good, or this other is better, etc. Since, for example, in addition to Dear Rebeca, I was developing about 3 more visual novels. But I paused or canceled them for X reason.

I'll try to have more communication about it, and consider doing some kind of "early access" with my current vn when it's more advanced.

Again, thank you for your offer and comment!
